Riddling a Universe Yet

February 8, 2008 § Leave a comment

There was nothing, being or not
No air, no blue sky above
What was there that covered?
Where? And who cared?
Was the water the deepest?

There was no death, no immortality
No day, separated from night
Did the One breathe without air?
That? And what then where?
Was there nothing else?

There was darkness, sea without light
A seed, covered in a container
Was One born by force of heat?
Love? Who overcome it?
Was it born from spirit?

Seek in wise heart, the seed
Of what is, in what is not
Does the light break through?
Down? Or is it up?
Birthing force below and will above?

There was knowledge, no explanation
Of the source, of creation of will
Did the Gods indeed come later?
Seeing? This beautiful riddle?
Does One know from where One came?
